The symposium will take place at the Congress Center Düsseldorf (CCD). The address of the CCD is:

It is located at the river Rhine north of the city center of Düsseldorf and can be easily reached by public transportation. There is a connection by subway as well as bus. The conference will take place in the south part of CCD, CCS South.

Getting There

BY PLANE

 

Düsseldorf Airport is just three kilometers from the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf. With over 60 airlines and some 22 million passengers per year, it is the third largest airport in Germany and an important hub in North Rhine-Westphalia. Apart from Frankfurt and Munich, Düsseldorf is the only German airport to offer attractive long-haul connections, for example to America and Asia.

A special rate of EUR 20 applies for taxi rides from Düsseldorf airport to all entrances of Messe Düsseldorf and vice versa, day or night. Depending on the traffic situation, a taxi ride from Düsseldorf Airport to the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf takes roughly 10-15 minutes.

​

During exhibitions a shuttle service (no. 896) will bring you from the airport to the exhibition centre/ congress centre.

The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker e.V. (GDCh) in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn offers you a package for your comfortable journey to the event. You will travel in long-distance trains of Deutsche Bahn with 100% green electricity.

Please note that the Deutsche Bahn ticket can only be booked in conjunction with an event booking by the GDCh.

Düsseldorf is optimally connected to North Rhine-Westphalia's well developed motorway network. The state capital and the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf are accessible from the north via the A52 and A3, from the west via the A44 and the A57, and from the south via the A57 and A59.

When approaching the congress centre, follow the special signs CCD Stadthalle, CCD Süd, CCD Ost, and the parking signs to car park P5, P6, or basement car park P3, which are available during the event.


P5 & P6 parking fees: 2,50 €/h, max. 25 €

P3 parking fees: 3 €/h, max. 30 €

U-Bahn

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The Bus No. 722 (see schedule) will take you from Düsseldorf central station directly to the convention centre within 30 minutes (take the bus stop "Stadthalle").

​

The underground lines U78 (from the city centre) and U79 (from the city centre, Kaiserswerth, Wittlaer and Duisburg) stop at Messe Ost/Stockumer Kirchstraße. From there you can reach the CCD Congress Center Düsseldorf on foot in about 15 minutes via Stockumer Kirchstraße or you can take Bus 722 to the last stop, Messe Congress Center.

Information on timetables, train and bus routes as well as tickets are available from Rheinbahn. The connection to the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR) transportation network allows passengers to also use the transport facilities of many other towns and communities as well as the surcharge-free trains of Deutsche Bahn AG in a joint tariff system.
